Christmas in the Village is this weekend - Dec. 4-6!  Step back in time for an old fashioned Christmas!   Carolers, luminaries and all the nostalgic sights and sounds of the holidays!  Shops open 10am-9pm Friday and Saturday and noon - 5pm on Sunday!  Tree lighting ceremony Friday at 6pm.  Come share Waynesville's gift to the community!

Easy Turkey Divan

6 slices cooked turkey or 2 c. cut-up turkey;  2 pkg (10 oz each) frozen broccoli spears;  6 slices process American or Cheddar cheese (about 6 oz); 1 can (13 1/2 oz) evaporated milk;  1 can (10 1/2 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup;   1 can (3 1/2 oz) French fried onion rings.

Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Arrange turkey in ungreased baking dish, 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches.  Top with hot broccoli,  cover with cheese.  Stir together milk and soup;  pour over cheese.  Bake uncovered 25 minutes.  Sprinkle with onion rings and bake 5 minutes longer.  4 to 6 servings

My Holiday Gift for our customers is to share my favorite holiday recipes.  Each week from Hearthwarming Holiday weekend (last weekend) till Christmas, I'll be sharing a tried & true recipe from my collection.  Last weekend I shared my Mom's pumpkin pie recipe.  This week I'll be sharing a chocolate recipe as part of the Extreme Chocolate Holiday Extravaganza!
